We've just wrapped up our first internship at Skyrocket, facilitated through the Unitec business programme.
Erika joined the team and worked on a real client project. Real deliverables, real expectations, inside a working web design studio. That's the only version that makes sense to us, and it turns out it's the version that actually means something to the person doing it.
At the end of the placement, Erika sent through a note to the team.
"I wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude for the internship opportunity at Skyrocket. It has been an exceptional experience that has significantly contributed to my professional development. Throughout my time here, I gained hands-on knowledge, had the privilege of working with a real client which provided valuable exposure to real-world professional workflows and client expectations. I would like to extend my deepest thanks to Samantha and the entire Skyrocket team for their mentorship, support, and generosity throughout this journey."

Safe to say it landed well on both sides. Fresh eyes on how a studio works are more useful than most people realise. We got a lot out of having her around.
We're already looking forward to doing it again next year.
